The hospitals of the Blue Mountain Health System provide the area with the most comprehensive state-of-the art program of outpatient rehabilitation services. Our experienced licensed professionals use advanced therapy techniques and high-tech equipment to facilitate recovery from an injury or after surgery.

Physical therapy provides rehabilitation for back/neck injuries, total knee/hip replacement, stroke, shoulder/knee conditions, ankle, foot injury and many other conditions.

Occupational therapy provides rehabilitation for finger, hand, arm and shoulder injuries, including rehabilitation after tendon repair. Custom splints are made for hand/finger injuries.

Sports medicine provides rehabilitation for athletic injuries, including therapy after ACL knee reconstruction surgery, shoulder/rotator cuff therapy and ankle therapy.

Wound and burn therapies include whirlpools and special wound healing techniques. Comprehensive wound and burn therapies are available at the Blue Mountain Health System's Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Center.

Speech therapy provides rehabilitation for stroke, swallowing conditions, speaking/voice conditions and facial muscle weakness related to stroke and Bells' Palsy.

Ultraviolet B light therapy and "tar" whirlpools can be used to effective treat psoriasis.

Medical physical conditioning program helps people recover their strength and independence after a medical event and/or achieve a lower risk status for heart disease, stroke or other medical considerations. Licensed professional therapists use state-of-the-art therapy technology, physical strengthening procedures, and patient education to improve the physical, functional and physiological status of the patient.

The medical physical conditioning program concentrates on the following:

• Improving functional strength and endurance after a significant medical condition
• Improving physical/functional capacity to perform routine daily activities
• Improving ambulatory capacity
• Helping to control blood pressure
• Helping to control body weight
• Helping to increase HDL cholesterol and lower triglycerides
